Cutting Edge

Keep the blades on your lawnmower properly adjusted and sharpened. Blunt blades bruise the grass and cause damage, which looks unsightly and can affect the overall growth of the lawn. Find out more about this on Mowing Tips.

Use Your Grass Cuttings....

Don't forget that your grass cuttings can make up part of your compost. They will rot down and the nutrient will return to the soil.

A good tip in summer is to leave them on the lawn as long as possible to help retain moisture.

Mow to Grow
Always ensure that you do not cut off more than 1/3 of grass in one mow.
If growth is quick then mow again in a few days time but ensure that 2/3 of the grass length is always left.
